Geraghty the Indispensable verdict on last night debate is bullseye accurate:  Hillary hurt herself again, but not enough to stampede the Dems towards either of the lightweights.

The confidence among Republicans is growing.  Hillary can be beaten because she is simply the least likeable candidate among the majors: Mike Dukakis without his charm.  She is also a radical on healthcare and taxes, and sufficiently anti-war to scare off the people who are serious about the world, and not anti-war enough for the fringe.  Her Adminstration would be packed with hard left types eager to settle decades of imagined slights.

She is developing defenses she thinks will work against the attacks that will come, but I doubt it will matter.  "You can't put it what God left out," is what track coach Sam Mussabini told sprinter Harold Abrahams in Chariots of Fire when Abrahams asked him to make him fast.  You can't put graciousness and warmth into the public Hillary, and you can't turn a '60s girl into a moderate.  We got a glimpse of what a President Hillary would look like last night, and it wasn't reassuring.
