My producer has put a call into Team Huckabee to see if he would like to respond, but we have been getting the big Huck Duck for the month since I asked him questions about taxes and federalism.

Mitt Romney is on today's show.  Rudy Giuliani is on tomorrow's show.

Successful candidates don't dodge the opportunity to talk policy on air before an audience that is center-right. 

UPDATE: Team Huckabee e-mails that the governor will be back some time this week, which makes it a limited, modified Huck Duck.

Which is better than Senators McCain's and Thompson's steadfast refusal to appear to talk to a center-right audience. 

There's a reason why Mitt and Rudy are the two possible nominees --they work the base every way possible, as often as possible.
