Allow me to join Hugh in wishing the Powerline trio a Happy 5th birthday. Along with a handful of other familiar names, John, Paul, and Scott pioneered a new form of journalism. Theirs is a journalism practiced by people who tend to be a lot smarter and a lot fairer than many members of the mainstream media who, until guys like the Powerliners came along, had a monopoly on news coverage and opinion making.
What’s really exciting is to imagine where we’ll be in five years. Blogging (a hopelessly imprecise term, but the only one we have) has such enormous potential. I have a feeling that collectively we’ve only scratched the surface of what’s doable. The Powerline trio remains pioneers, and they remain at the head of the class.
