Allah points us to this story in Al-Guardian about the illicit leaking of the gobsmackingly vile “torture” techniques the CIA wants to implement. Prepare for heartache:

The techniques sought by the CIA are: induced hypothermia; forcing suspects to stand for prolonged periods; sleep deprivation; a technique called "the attention grab" where a suspect's shirt is forcefully seized; the "attention slap" or open hand slapping that hurts but does not lead to physical damage; the "belly slap"; and sound and light manipulation.

If none of that works, the CIA interrogator cuts off the detainee’s head with a scimitar. Just kidding.

Quite honestly, if this is really all we’re doing and these guys aren’t spilling all the beans they have to spill, I’m outraged. And not for the same reason that Andrew Sullivan presumably is.
