The Wall Street Journal’s Jeff Zaslow has an outstanding column on the “most praised generation” as it heads off to the workplace. And yes, this is the time for my weekly harangue about how you should be subscribing to the Journal’s on-line edition. If you don’t you’ll miss this story and the great nugget about a narcissism researcher who is “unimpressed with self-esteem preschool ditties, such as the one set to the tune of ‘Frère Jacques’: ‘I am special/ I am special/ Look at me...’
I don’t have any children, but if I ever heard my toddler singing such a tune, I would have to struggle mightily to not go all Alec Baldwin on him.
