Israel's apparent intention to pursue the complete toppling of Hamas presents the terrorist group with every incentive to use whatever it has in its arsenal against Israel.
So, what does that arsenal contain? The concern has been that Gaza would be turned intoi a vast WMD complex, but I have never seen any reporting that the terrorists had been able to achieve any sort of manufacturing capability.
Reuel Marc Gerecht's Weekly Standard article from earlier this month is important background on the general subject of the Islamists' technical gap, but as the battle in Gaza escalates, so too will be the temptation for Hamas to use whatever it has in its storerooms.
