The New Republic has published a story by a pseudonymous soldier purportedly based in Iraq who relates stories of gross misconduct by American troops. In the finest tradition of anit-war agitprop, the New Republic published the soldier/author’s account of hard-to-believe tales of American cruelty without any corroboration.
