CNN's The Situation Room just ran a package on Al Sharpton's disgusting bigotry, and included the same blah, blah, blah that Imus tried to use to escape Imus' bigotry.  Sharpton will appear on Paula Zahn's program tonight to try and wriggle out of his own words, for which no "context" can redeem, though it will be amusing to hear him try.

Again, Senator Clinton and Senator Obama both denounced Imus in strong terms.  Where are they on Sharpton's bigotry, and when will Harry Reid, himself a Mormon, get around to answering a question about the slam on him as a non-believer in God.

I hope Paula plays the tape over and over again, just as the MSM did when pursuing Imus.  There isn't any defense to Sharpton's bigotry, and letting him off the hook will prove not that he had a defense, but that MSM is afraid of Al but not of Imus.

Article VI Blog also notes:

UNTIL MONDAY NIGHT, there had been four blatantly bigoted attacks on Romney's faith. All four came from the left. Now Al Sharpton has made it five for five.

I predicted in A Mormon In The White House that the attacks on Romney's faith would be most vocal and most virulent from the left, but I didn't dare predict they would be this bald --and this unrebuked.

For an example of a conservative evangelical's assessment of Romney --to be specific, he is Ortodox-- see the first, second, and third guest posts by Biola University Professor John Mark Reynolds, also at Article VI Blog, though originally posted at Scriptorium Daily.
