If so, I volunteer to defend him.  He will need a season ticket holder to the Browns if he is to stand a chance with a Cuyahoga County jury.  His Steeler inclinations are well known.

It would be the trial of the century.  Rush in the dock for conceiving and executing Operation Chaos.  As a son of northeast Ohio, I could pull it off, but not without some late nights.

Key graph:

The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is investigating whether any Republicans broke the law when they switched parties in the March 4 presidential primary to back the candidate that they perceived to be a weaker opponent for GOP nominee-in-waiting John McCain.

The board expects the results of the investigation March 31. The board wants to know if voters lied when they signed statements pledging allegiance to their new party.

UPDATE:  Rush was talking about this post and me this morning, and my willingness to lead the "Justice for Rush" defense should Cuyahoga County attempt to throw him to the Dog Pound of a Browns-fans dominated jury.  As per usual, Rush was generous in his comments.

I am inspired by the example of John Adams, as recently on display in the magnificent HBO miniseries wherein Adams took on the case of the British officer accused of ordering the Boston Massacre.  "New England men" acquitted in that case, and Northeastern Ohio men and women would deliver justice even to a Steelers fan I am sure, though having a long-suffering Browns fan as lead counsel would be necessary.
