The woes at the Minneapolis Star Tribune are well publicized, especially its precipitous decline in value.
So it should not surprise that the worst sort of sloppiness and vendetta (as opposed to mere agenda) journalism infects its news coverage.
Except that the Strib's reporter this time dashes off a lie that seems aimed to injure Powerline's reputation. John Hinderaker catches and guts the little fish, but still, how incompetent --or malevolent-- does a reporter (and an editor) have to be to toss out a whopper aimed at the biggest blog in the state and one of the biggest in the country?
